Supervisory model
Three tiers of escalation.
Casey, the AI platform, is supervised by the licensed clinician of record (Eleanor Williams, MSW, LCSW). Casey operates under defined clinical protocols developed by Clinician Assist Inc. and reviewed by the supervising clinician. Casey escalates to the clinician on three tiers, designed under the CaiT (Clinician AI in Therapy) framework.
Tier 1, Routine
Routine session content.
Casey follows the supervising clinician's protocol. Every interaction is logged to the clinician's dashboard for review and longitudinal pattern analysis. Tier 1 events do not trigger immediate clinician notification.
Tier 2, Elevated
Elevated clinical concern.
Mood deterioration, validated risk markers (PHQ-9 and GAD-7 thresholds), or content the supervising clinician should review. Casey logs and routes for clinician review within 24 hours.
Tier 3, Acute
Acute risk.
Suicidal ideation with intent or plan, planned self-harm, harm to others. Casey alerts on-call clinician staffing immediately and puts 988 and 911 in front of the client. The on-call clinician directs the response. Documentation is generated in real time. Mandatory reporting obligations are managed by the licensed clinician.
